Lagos - Despite the controversies trailing his state of origin, former Lagos State Governor and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu is insisting on presenting Akinwunmi Ambode as the party’s candidate for the 2015 governorship election in the state.
Tinubu has directed his loyalists to continue working for the emergence of Ambode, who was a former Accountant General of the state, reports Daily Independent.

Tinubu has also instructed party leaders to start underground mobilisation from all local governments, pending when the final mobilisation would start.
As part of the grand plot to ensure the emergence of Ambode, Tinubu has gotten the support of the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu and some traditional rulers in the state. Some of them have openly endorsed Ambode as the next governor.
Other contenders on the platform of the APC are the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji, former Commissioner for Health, Dr. Leke Pitan, the current Commissioner for Works, Obafemi Hamzat, a Senator in the State, Ganiyu Olarenwaju Solomon, former Commissioner for Rural Development, Tola Kasali , Adetokunbo Tobun-Agbesanwa and Abike Dabiri.
