Tinubu’s in-law in Ambode's cabinet list

Lagos - The immediate elder sister of the wife of the former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, Lola Akande has been nominated as a commissioner in Lagos State, reports NewsDay.

Akande’s name is among the 15 names already penciled down to join the cabinet of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

She is expected head the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

Akande was a former Deputy Majority Leader of Lagos House of Assembly.

Other names penciled down to become commissioners are Modupe Akinsola, an ex-aide to former Governor Babatunde Fashola on Political and Legislative Powers, Abdulateef Abdulkareem, Sulaimon Oriyomi, Paul Kalejaiye, Managing Director of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, Mohammed Kabiru, Gbolahan Lawal and Ganiyu Johnson.

Governor Ambode is expected to announce members of his cabinet this week.
