Kano - The National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal, sitting in Kano, has dismissed a petition filed against former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as the senator representing Kano Central, reports Thisday.
The tribunal in its ruling on Thursday held that the petitioner, the candidate of the Mega Progressives People’s Party (MPPP), lacked the locus standi to challenge Kwankwaso’s victory.
The petitioner had approached the tribunal, asking it to nullify the Kano central senatorial poll, citing the exclusion of its party’s name and logo from the ballot papers.
