Two APC lawmakers clash in Ibadan

28 August 2014, 12:33

Ibadan -Two serving members of the Oyo State House of Assembly and their supporters clashed at the Ojoo area of Ibadan, Oyo state capital .

The lawmakers, Temitope Olatoye, representing Lagelu state constituency and Abiodun Adigun Hammed representing Akinyele II state constituency have been at loggerheads over nursing the same ambition as federal lawmakers in the same federal constituency, reports Nigerian Tribune.

Trouble started when a popular Ibadan musician, Rasheed Ayinde started singing the praises of Olatoye at a programme organized for Governor Abiola Ajumobi to meet with some spare parts sellers who were complaining of neglect by the state government.

The praises infuriated the supporters of Hammed who tried to stop the musician.

This degenerated into a clash as the two lawmakers and their supporters engaged themselves in a battle of popularity on stage.
