Abuja - Two out of the seven rebel governors of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) met with President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja, Premium Times reports.
Governors Babangida Aliyu and Sule Lamido refused to join other five rebel governors to defect to the opposition party, All Progressive Congress (APC) last week.
The outcome of the meeting with President Jonathan was not disclosed, but sources said the governors might mend fence with the President and the PDP.
Governors present at the meeting included Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta), Theodore Orji (Abia), Isa Yuguda (Bauchi), Jonah Jang (Plateau), Ibrahim Shema (Katsina), Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa) Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Martins Elechi (Ebonyi), Sullivan Chime (Enugu), Idris Wada (Kogi), and Liyel Imoke (Cross River).
