Wada wins Kogi PDP governorship primary

Lokoja - The incumbent governor of Kogi State, Idris Wada, has emerged victorious in Monday’s governorship primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reports Premium Times.

Wada polled 709 votes to beat his closest rival, Isa Echoho, who got 139 votes in the election, which took place at the Lokoja stadium.

The governor was declared winner by the Chairman of the primary election, Governor Ifeanyi Uguanyi of Enugu State

With the win, Wada would be the party’s candidate  in the forthcoming governorship election in the state slated for November 21.

Wada will face the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abubakar Audu, who had earlier won the primary election of his party.
