We don’t need Tambuwal, APC to reconvene- House leader

05 November 2014, 18:29

Abuja- Leo Ogor, the Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives has faulted the position of the All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus in the House that nobody has the power to reconvene the House except the Speaker, reports Daily Post.

He said the House leaders of other political parties in the House can reconvene the house without consulting the APC or the Speaker.

He noted that the rules of House allow other political parties to reconvene the plenary without input of the Speaker if there is the need to discuss issues of national interest like the budget.

He denied that the PDP caucus is planning to impeach the Speaker, nothing that the party does not have the required numerical strength of 240 members to carry out the impeachment.
