Port Harcourt - There are indications that Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has perfected plans to protest against the ministerial nomination of ex-Governor Rotimi Amaechi by President Muhammadu Buhari, reports The Sun
The governor has directed his loyalists to organise a protest in the National Assembly against Amaechi’s nomination as minister.

Some party stalwarts in the state have also allegedly met with senators from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to pay back Amaechi in his own coin for fighting former President Goodluck Jonathan and also for defecting from the party to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
However, the Rivers State chapter of APC has vowed to resist any move to scuttle Amaechi’s clearance by the Senate.
The party is gearing up to counter-attack Wike’s moves as it is also mobilizing its supporters to match PDP’s strength.
