Port Harcourt - Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has dissolved the caretaker committees of 22 local government areas in the state.
The dissolution of the committees follows the expiration of their three-month tenure on Wednesday.

The governor in statement on Thursday directed the former caretaker committees to hand over to the Head of Local Government Administrations of their respective local councils.
The affected local council bosses were sworn into office by the present administration on July.
