Port Harcourt - Former Minister of State for Education, Nyeson Wike was on Monday declared the winner of the gubernatorial primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, reports NewsDay.
He got a total of 1 083 out of total 1108 total valid votes cast.
Other major contenders for the ticket stayed away from the primary having concluded that Wike has been anointed by the party.

Speaking after the results were announced, Wike promised to reclaim the mandate stolen by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
