Bauchi - Gov. Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State on Monday announced the dissolution of all the 20 Local Council Caretaker Committees in the state.
Yuguda, in place of the caretaker chairmen appointed sole administrators, who are mainly civil servants to run the affairs of the councils pending the conduct of elections.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Ahmed Dandija.
The statement added that the action was for more effective service delivery and political neutrality in local government administration.
It named Yohana Yashi, Lawal Baba-Ma’aji, Simon Taimako, Kabiru Sade and Ahmed Jalam as the new sole administrators for Alkaleri, Bauchi, Bogoro, Darazo and Dambam Local Government Councils respectively.
Danlami Baraza, Kabiru Garba, Abdul Hassan, Musa Kainari and Yau Ibrahim were appointed as the new sole administrators of Dass, Gamawa, Ganjuwa, Giade and Itas Gadau Local government councils respectively.
Others according to the statement are: Abubakar Dahuwa, Garba Sabo, Ibrahim Zadawa Saidu Sale and Maigari Kannah who are to head Katagum, Kirfi, Misau, Ningi and Shira Local Government Councils respectively.
Illiyasu Gital, Aliyu IBN Idris, Comfort Ganya, Mohammed Babaji and Adamu Suleiman were also appointed as Sole Administrators for Tafawa Balewa, Toro, Warji, Zaki and Jama’re Local Governmennt Councils respectively.
The statement stated that the appointment of the sole administrators took immediate effect while the outgoing Caretaker Chairmen were to hand over to the administrators by Sept. 10, 2012 unfailingly.
