Governor Yahaya Bello had sent a letter containing Achuba's nomination as deputy governor to the Assembly on Monday after weeks of deliberations.
Achuba was sworn in behind closed doors at the banquet hall of the Government House immediately after the House approved his nomination.
Achuba replaces James Faleke who made himself unavailable on January 27, 2016 when Alhaji Yahaya Bello was sworn in as Governor.
