Another Mimiko’s commissioner resigns, joins Ondo guber race

Akure - Another Commissioner in Ondo State, Bamiduro Dada on Tuesday resigned his appointment to participate in the gubernatorial election in the state slated for November 26, reports New Telegraph.

Dada, who is the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, joined the long list of those jostling to contest governorship election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Two commissioners had earlier resigned their appointments to join the governorship race, reports News 24.

Sola Ebiseeni and Eyitayo Jegede had last week tendered their letters in order to contest the governorship election.

In a letter he sent to Governor Olusegun Mimiko, Dada thanked the governor for the opportunity to serve the people of the state in various capacities in the past seven years including Special Adviser on Political Matter and later Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftiancy Affairs.

The PDP has fixed August 22 for the party primaries and asked each of the aspirants to pay N16million for expression of interest and nomination forms.
