Abuja - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has thrown its weight behind the decision of the Kogi State Governor-elect, Yahaya Bello to replace James Faleke as his deputy, reports New Telegraph.
The party said the governor has the prerogative to choose who to work with.
The party’s Deputy National Chairman, North, Senator Lawal Shuiabu, said the party was not going to force Faleke to accept the position.

Shuiabu said Bello has the right to make his own decision if Faleke refuses to accept the offer of deputy governor
Faleke has shunned all entreaties to work with Bello.
He insisted that he should have been selected as the party candidate following the death of Abubakar Audu.
Faleke is already in court contesting the replacement of Audu with Bello by the national leadership of APC.
Bello will be sworn-in as governor on Wednesday.
