Port Harcourt - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has commenced preparation for a fresh governorship election in the state, reports Daily Trust.
The fresh election was ordered by the Court of Appeal following the nullification of the election of Gov Nyesom Wike.
Although, Wike had appealed the judgement at the Supreme Court, APC leaders in the state have commenced preparation for the impending fresh governorship election.

The leaders have been holding series of stakeholder meetings to strategize on how the party can win the election.
One of such meetings was convened by the former governor of the state, Romiti Amaechi, now Minister of Transport at the ESI centre GRA, Port Harcourt .
He urged party members to double efforts in their mobilization drive to reposition the party.
Another stakeholder's meeting was convened by the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche and other stakeholders in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.
