Akure - The All Progressives Congress (APC ) in Ondo State has urged civil servants and the people of the state to shun the scheduled local government elections in the state.
The elections hold on Saturday, April 23.
Speaking during a press briefing in Akure, the Ondo State capital, the Publicity Secretary of the party, Abayomi Adesanya, advised citizens not to give credibility to the illegality of the scheduled polls.

He said it is rather unfortunate that while workers are yet to be paid salaries for five months, the Ondo State government plans to spend billions of naira on local government elections.
He noted that it is now crystal clear that the state government does not have the interest of the people at heart.
He stated that the election is one of the strategies of Governor Olusegun Mimiko to cause confusion and siphon state funds ahead of the November 26 governorship election in the state.
