Abuja - The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied begging President Muhammady Buhari for funds to run the party, reports NewsDay.
The party leaders said the party does not source funds from the federal or state governments to fund party activities.
The leaders of the party were reacting to reports that their recent meeting with President Buhari was to solicit for funds from the Presidency to run the party.

Those who were at the meeting were the National Chairman, John Oyegun; National Secretary, Mai-Mala Buni; Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Lawan Shuaibu, and Deputy National Chairman, Segun Oni.
Oyegun, has, however denied the report, noting that the operations of the APC National Secretariat is in strict adherence to the change agenda of the party.
He said the party does not indulge in the practice of obtaining funds from state governments or diverting security votes to fund party activities.
