APC denies sponsoring petitions against Rivers govt

13 April 2016, 16:29

Port Harcourt - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has described as frivolous and the height of falsehood the statement by the state government claiming that APC was sponsoring petitions against it.

The party said the PDP was afraid of its own shadows hence the reason for raising false alarm.

According to the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Chris Finebone,

“Our attention has been drawn to a statement by the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dr. Austin Tam-George, on behalf of the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, accusing the APC of sponsoring groups to raise frivolous petitions against PDP members to have them arrested by security agents.

“This is an inglorious height of falsehood and propaganda by the PDP in Rivers State.

“While the APC will not join issues with the PDP, we make bold to state in clear terms that we find neither the PDP nor its partners worthy of any patronage or collaboration with the APC for anything noble.

The difference between light and darkness is never in doubt and PDP is the darkness here.”
