Ado Ekiti - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has accused Governor Ayodele Fayose of profligacy and insensitivity to the workers’ plight, reports Leadership.
The party accused Fayose of expending N250 million state funds on Christmas trip to Dubai.
The party wondered how the governor could find it convenient to travel to Dubai for Christmas holidays, while civil servants live in miserable conditions during the yuletide.

In a statement by its state Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, the party alleged that the governor has refused to pay workers two months salaries, describing the governor’s trip to Dubai as the height of insensitivity and wickedness for a governor who always calls himself peoples’ governor.
But in a swift reaction to the allegations against the governor, the state’s Commissioner for Information, Lanre Ogunsuyi, said the APC allegation is following the usual ludicrous accusation.
Ogunsuyi said the governor was on holiday like every other worker who has worked conscientiously throughout the year.
He noted that the trip was not an official journey and that the governor will be responsible for all the expenses.
