Abuja - The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday threw its weight behind the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, against his predecessor, Senator Rabiu Kwakwanso, in the political crisis rocking the state.
The party said the leader of the party in the state remains the governor.
Ganduje has been locked in a fierce battle with Kwankwaso over the control of the APC in the state.

The party’s National Chairman, John Oyegun stated the party's position while addressing over 200 APC supporters from Kano State, who stormed the party's secretariat to protest the continued internal wrangling in the state chapter of the party.
Oyegun told the delegation that the authority of the governor must be respected by all.
