Akure - Few hours after its candidate emerged as the new governor- elect of Ondo State, the All Progressives Congress has begun to move against outgoing governor of the state, Olusegun Mimiko.
The party has expressed its readiness to give full backing to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to probe Mimiko’s administration, reports Punch
The Ondo State Publicity Secretary of the party, Abayomi Adesanya, who gave the hint on Sunday, said the party is ready to provide information to the anti-graft agency that would assist in its investigation against Mimiko.
He stated that since Mimiko is already under investigations for corruption, the party is ready to help EFCC prosecute him.
He said, “Already investigations are ongoing about the Mimiko government. If the anti-graft agencies such as the EFCC need any information from us to assist in their investigation, the incoming APC-led government will provide all the necessary assistance and information.
