Yenagoa - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected the declaration of Gov Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State as winner of the governorship election in the state, reports Channels.
The party described the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to announce the results as a disregard for the electoral process.

Dennis Otiotio, the party’s agent at the collation centre in Yenagoa, said the chief returning officer for the election should have declared the election inconclusive because the number of cancelled votes is far more than the difference between the party and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The number of cancelled votes was 53 000 votes while the difference between PDP and APC wa 48 146.
Otiotio said the chief returning officer, Prof. Zena Akpagu disregarded Section 26 of the Electoral Act, by declaring a winner in the election.
He noted that a rerun should have been ordered in places where elections were cancelled.
It would be recalled that Otiotio refused to append his signature on the result.
