Port Harcourt - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State on Saturday called on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in the state.
The call was made following the violence and killings in some parts of Rivers before and during the March 19 legislative rerun elections.

The Deputy Chairman of the APC in the state, Price Odike, said there would be no peace in the state if there was no declaration of a state of emergency.
Odike stated that there is no peace in the state because Gov Nyesom Wike and his cohorts do not want a peaceful election.
