APC wins all 57 chairmanship seats in Ogun LG election

Abeokuta - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all the 57 chairmanship seats in the election into 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas in Ogun State, reports Channels TV

The party also won 346 of the 349 councillorship seats while the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) won two seats and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) settled for one seat.

The UPN won seats in Oke-Odan in Ifekowajo LCDA and Omu Ward in Leguru LCDA while PDP won the seat in Igbogila ward in Yewa South Local Government .Area.

These results were announced on Sunday by the Chairperson of OGSIEC, Risikat Ogunfemi, at the commission’s headquarters in Abeokuta on Sunday.

Agboke according to Thisday described the exercise as successful, saying the simultaneous accreditation and voting assisted the process seriously.

Agboke advised all aggrieved parties to approach the Election Petition Tribunal which will soon be set up
