Kano - The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kano State has declared Tasi’u Ibrahim of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of the state House of Assembly by-election in Minjibir.
Announcing the result in Minjibir, the returning Officer, Prof Abu Mohammed, said the APC candidate, emerged winner by scoring 21 970 votes to defeat the 14 other contestants.

Auwalu Ubale of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 1 238 votes.
The election was initially conducted on April 30 but had to be cancelled halfway as a result of violence.
