Ibadan - The Court of Appeal on Thursday affirmed the verdict of the Ogun State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, which had upheld the declaration of Ibikunle Amosun as the winner of the April 11 governorship election in Ogun State, reports Vanguard.
The court aligned with the October 23 decision of the tribunal, which had declared as incompetent and struck out the petition filed by Gboyega Isiaka, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The five-man panel of the Appeal Court headed by Justice H.M Ogunjimiju held that the election of Amosun complied with the provisions of the Electoral Act.
Ogunjimij, who read the judgement of the court, said there was no place that the number of voters exceeded the number of those accredited.
