Lokoja - Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the Kogi State gubernatorial election, late Abubakar Audu, are divided over the emergence of Yahaya Bello as the candidate of the party for the December 5 supplementary election, reports Leadership.
Some key stakeholders in the late Audu’s camp have approached Bello pledging their support to him in the election.

Bello had earlier made overtures to the late politician’s loyalists and urged them to support him in the supplementary election.
One of strong backers of late Audu, who has joined the Bello camp has already commenced moves to win more Audu's supporters for Bello.
However, despite Bello’s overtures, not all members of Audu’s campaign organisation are happy with the choice of Bello.
Audu’s running mate, James Faleke and his supporters are insisting that Faleke should be presented as the party’s candidate for the supplementary election.
