Akure: The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared APC’s Rotimi Akeredolu as the governor-elect in the Ondo State gubernatorial election.
INEC returning officer in the state, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali on Sunday declared Akeredolu the winner following the Saturday election.
Akeredolu beat major contestants Olushola Oke of the Alliance for Democracy and PDP’s Eyitayo Jegede among other party candidates.

Akeredolu will replace Olusegun Mimiko in February 2017.
