Buhari directing security agents to be more vicious on us, says PDP

03 January 2016, 14:06

Abuja - The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of persecuting its members.

In a statement released on Twitter, the PDP  said Buhari had directed security agents to be more vicious in dealing with its members.

The PDP also claimed that the president was coercing the judiciary to convict its members who had been charged to court.

“What gives us joy is that Buhari is not God and we will not worship him” the statement concluded.

This came after Buhari  said during his maiden media chat last week that some political prisoners  did not deserve bail, and this led to the hashtag #TyrantBuhari  trending on Twitter since January 2, where Nigerians on social media shared their anger on the president’s statement.
