Buhari under pressure to reconstitute cabinet

01 March 2016, 15:05

Abuja -  There are indications that President Muhammadu Buhari may reconstitute his cabinet anytime from now, reports New Telegraph

Buhari is under pressure from some powerful forces, including his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to undertake a cleansing of the Federal Executive Council (FEC),

The impending changes would see the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun and her foreign affairs counterpart, Geoffrey Onyeama, being posted  to other ministries.

Also, the Works, Housing and Power Ministry under former Lagos State Governor,Babatunde Fashola, may be split into three.

The President is said be considering taking out Culture and Tourism from the Information Ministry.

The arrow-heads of the plot to have the President reconstitute his cabinet believed that Buhari was seen by many as having not done enough because of the poor level of performance of his appointees.
