Buhari will not rig Edo election – APC

13 July 2016, 18:50

Benin City -  The All Progressives Congress in Edo State has said President Muhammadu Buhari will not rig the governorship election in the state in favour of the party, reports The Nation.

The party said the President will not help anyone to rig election no matter his stake in the contest.

The party was reacting to an appeal made to President Buhari by the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state at a rally in Auchi that the President should allow level playing field for all parties.

State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Godwin Erhahon said leaders of the APC in the state should therefore work hard if they truly desire to come out victorious in the governorship election.

He said those ignorantly hoping that incumbency factor at federal level would see them through will be disappointed at the end, reports Daily Post

Erhahon advised the gold-diggers in APC who are refusing to make peace with those they maliciously and viciously offended during the intrigues that proceeded the June 18, primaries, hoping ignorantly that incumbency factor at federal level would sail them through.
