Gusau - The Federal High Court in Gusau has stopped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from holding congresses in Zamfara State pending the hearing of the motion on notice.
The Zamfara State chairman of the party, Senator Hassan Nasiha, filed a petition seeking the court to stop the National Working Committee (NWC) and the state congress committee of the party from conducting congresses to elect new leaders.

He claimed that his tenure has not expired.
Nasiha told the court that his term in office will end on September 29, 2018.
In her ruling on Nasiha's application, Justice Fatima Murtala ordered the party to stay action on the conduct of the state congress pending the hearing of the case.
