Abuja - Incumbent, Seriake Dickson, has charged the people of Southern Ijaw to turn out in numbers to vote during the re-run governorship election scheduled for Saturday.
Ahead of the poll, the governor informed the people of the area he had won in six out of the seven local government areas that have been announced.
“First and foremost I want to sincerely appreciate you for your support," Dickson said.
"My charge to you all is to mobilise your people and all our supporters in your communities to turn up and vote."
He claimed the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Timipre Sylva, should be receiving advice by now to step down so he doesn't cause more damage.
“We have already won this election and everyone knows it."
Dickson, the People's Democratic Party candidate, bemoaned the violence leading to the poll.
