Dickson extends lead as INEC releases more results

Yenagoa - Governor Seriake Dickson has extended his lead in the Bayelsa State governorship election according to results announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Dickson has also won in Ogbia Local Government Area.

With the win in Ogbia, which is the local government area of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dickson has won in five out the six council results that have been announced.

According to INEC, Dickson got 13 051 votes in Ogbia while his rival in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Timipre Sylva got 9 106

He has so far garnered a total of 94 980 votes, while Sylva has a total of 65 620 votes.

The margin of lead is 29 260.

The results for Nembe and Southern Ijaw Local Government areas are still being expected
