Dickson is embattled, desperate to win - Sylva

06 January 2016, 08:00

Abuja - All Progressives Congress (APC) Bayelsa candidate Chief Timipre Sylva has lambasted People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Governor Seriake Dickson, labeling him as "embattled and desperate to win".

Reacting to Dickson's utterances at a press conference on Monday, Sylva took the opportunity to insinuate that Dickson was predictable, saying that the governor had nothing to discuss aside from Sylva and violence allegedly perpetrated by the APC, Punch reports.

In a statement made at his latest press conference, Dickson kicked against Sylva, saying that he encouraged "politics of violence" and that the APC is desperate for power.

In his reaction, Sylva also added that Dickson was deceitful, divisive, dictatorial and wasteful, calling him out for stopping the salaries of civil servants and revoking his title as a supposed democrat.

Sylva expressed optimism, however, urging the voting public to exercise their right and get rid of Dickson on Saturday, replacing him with a more deserving candidate.
