Yenagoa - Ahead of the supplementary governorship election in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa state on January 9, Governor Seriake Dickson and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timipre Sylva are again at each other’s throats, reports Punch.
Sylva, through his campaign outfit, Sylva-Igiri Campaign Organization on Friday alleged that Dickson is scheming to trade off his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to realize his second term ambition.
Sylva said Dickson had been running from pillar to post in his desperation to remain in office beyond February 14, 2016.
He insisted that Dickson’s visit to Aso Rock without invitation, was to beg President Muhammadu Buhari to allow him go for a second tenure.
He added that Dickson in return for that favour, had proposed to foment an artificial crisis in the PDP at the national level and use that as a basis to defect from his party to the ruling APC.

Sylva reminded Dickson that the APC unlike his party, the PDP, would not fall for such cheap antics and the officials he met with in Abuja clearly told him there was no deal.
But in his reaction, Dickson, through his campaign team, the Bayelsa State Restoration Campaign Organization, described Sylva’s allegation as laughable, deceitful and wicked propaganda.
Dickson said no amount of propaganda, lies and deceit could change the outcome of an election that had already been won by the PDP and lost woefully by the APC.
