Yenagoa - Ahead of the supplementary governorship election in Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa State on January 9, Governor Seriake Dickson on Tuesday visited the Presidential Villa, Abuja, reports Vanguard.
Although Dickson, refused to disclose his mission, it was gathered that he was at the nation’s seat of power for discussions with President Muhammadu Buhari on the pending election in his state.
It was not certain if the governor met with Buhari.
Dickson later told State House Correspondents that he was going to the office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.
Asked specifically on how he was preparing for the supplementary poll, Dickson said the election had been won and lost, saying the people of Bayelsa have spoken.
