Benin City - The candidate of Progressives Peoples Alliance (PPA) in the September 10 governorship election in Edo State, Thomas Sadoh, has denied reports that he had withdrawn from the race, reports Guardian.
There were reports that Sadoh has stepped down for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

He denied that he was being sponsored by the PDP to thwart the chances of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election.
Sadoh said he was prepared to contest till the end and was optimistic that he would take over from the incumbent governor, Adams Oshiomhole.
He urged all his supporters to disregard the rumour that he has stepped down from the race.
