According to Vanguard, security operatives at the divisional police post in Okpella have been overwhelmed by the youths who may have probably gone out of control, destroying vehicles and other property belonging to supporters of APC.

The crisis may not be unconnected to Thursday’s postponement of Edo State gubernatorial election earlier fixed for Saturday.

Recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on Thursday night postponed the governorship election by two weeks.

The election would now be held on September 28.

The decision to postpone the election according to News 24 was reached hours after the electoral body announced that it would go ahead with the election.
