Ado Ekiti - Members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly have declared Gov. Ayodele Fayose as Nigeria’s leader of opposition for consistently speaking against perceived persecution by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government, reports Sun.
The House, led by Speaker Kola Oluwawole, passed the resolution at a special sitting.

In a motion moved by House Leader, Olatunji Akinyele, Fayose was described as an articulate, consistent and dynamic leader as well as Senior Advocate of the Masses.
Akinyele’s motion was corroborated by other members of the House. The motion was seconded by Omotosho paving the way for Oluwawole, to pronounce Fayose Nigeria’s leader of the opposition after the House had voted in favour of the motion.
In his response, Fayose, said he would continue to rise to the occasion and speak against the shortcomings of the ruling party.
