Awka - Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2013 poll in Anambra State, Tony Nwoye, has finally dumped the party for All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Daily Post.
There are insinuations that Nwoye, who was also a former Anambra State chairman of the party, will vie for the 2017 governorship election on the platform of APC.
Nwoye according to Today has already began consultations with major stakeholders in and outside the state.
Addressing stakeholders from Anambra East and Anambra West in his country home at Nsugbe in Anambra East local government area during an empowerment grant to them, Nwoye said he would soon declare officially for APC.

He stated that many people in the state have lost confidence in PDP, noting that their best alternative is APC.
He said he won’t force his supporters to follow him into APC, stating that they are free to join him in the movement to APC because politics is a matter of choice.
Nwoye said he is very confident that President Muhammadu Buhari would transform Nigeria, adding that what the President needs is the support of all Nigerians.
