Faleke replies PDP

23 December 2015, 10:35

Lagos - Embattled deputy-governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, James Faleke on Tuesday said he has not breached the 1999 Constitution by being a member of the House of Representatives from Lagos State and also as a deputy-governor designate in Kogi State, reports Sun.

Faleke was reacting to calls by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, asking him to vacate his seat in the House because had short-changed the people of Ikeja Constituency 1 who voted for him on March 28, 2015.

Faleke said the PDP must have read the Nigerian Constitution upside down by asking the National Assembly to determine his status.

He urged the party to go to court if it was convinced that he has breached the Constitution.

He noted that the PDP should rather not dissipate its energy on what does not concern it, but should be concerned about how its leadership ran the ship of the country aground.
