Faleke to boycott Bello’s swearing-in as governor

08 December 2015, 12:09

Lokoja - The All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate in Kogi State, Abiodun Faleke has told his party that he would not make himself available for swearing in with Yahaya Bello as governor of the state on January 27, 2016, reports The Nation.

Faleke, who stated this on Monday in Kabba at a meeting of APC stakeholders from Kogi West senatorial district, said he will not disappoint the late Abubakar Audu, who was the party’s  original candidate in the election before he died on November 22.

He said he was not ready to betray and disappoint the late Audu, adding that the Audu/Faleke ticket remained intact and unchanged.

He said he was not consulted by the party's leadership before he was made the deputy to Bello.

He warned the leadership of the party against setting it on a path of destruction through impunity and injustice, saying they should learn from what happened to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
