Faleke vows to fight on to reclaim mandate

14 December 2015, 17:28

Lokoja- The running mate to the late Abubakar Audu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the November 21 Kogi State governorship election, James Faleke has vowed not to withdraw his case against his party until he is giving back his mandate, reports Punch.

Faleke reaffirmed his stance following the announcement by the National Chairman of the APC, John Odigie-Oyegun, that overtures have been made to Faleke to concede the governorship position to Yahaya Bello, who was picked to replace the late Audu.

Faleke noted that conceding the governorship mandate to Bello who never took part in the campaign will amount to a betrayal of his former boss.

He said he was unaware of any move to broker peace between him and Bello by the party echelon.

He stated that the party has not contacted him on the matter.
