Fayose swears in council chairmen

Ado Ekiti - The newly-elected council chairmen from the sixteen local government areas in Ekiti state on Tuesday took the oath of office, reports The Nation.

The oath was administered on the chairmen by Gov. Ayodele Fayose.

Fayose advised the council bosses not to be money-conscious but to make the people’s welfare their priority.

Speaking on behalf of her colleagues, Chairman of Gbonyin Local Government, Mrs Folashade Akinrinmola, expressed gratitude to the governor and party leaders for nominating them to lead their people.

Others are: Kazeem Ogunsakin (Ado); Bolaji Jeje (Efon); Adekunle Adeniyi (Ekiti East); Olanrewaju Omolase (Ekiti Southwest); Omotunde Kolawole (Ekiti West); Taiwo Oguntuase (Emure); Ayodele Arogbodo (Ido/Osi); Abiodun Dada (Ijero); Ola Alonge (Ikere); Yemi Adeyanju (Ikole); Oladapo Olagunju (Irepodun/Ifelodun); Olumide Falade (Ise/Orun); Adeniyi Adebayo (Moba) and Omotayo Ogundare (Oye).

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won all the seats in the election that was largely boycotted by political parties and the electorates,
