FCT Polls: PDP accuses minister of threatening civil servants

07 April 2016, 12:08

Abuja - With less than 48 hours to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) council elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the Minister of the FCT, Mohammed Bello, of allegedly threatening top civil servants in the council areas.

The party accused the minister of threatening the civil servants to ensure the victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) or they lose their jobs.

Chairman of the PDP in Abaji Area Council, Idris Gana, who disclosed this on Wednesday said the party was not happy with the way and manner the minister is handling the elections.

Gana said the minister was supposed to be neutral in the election and ensure that the popular candidates win irrespective of political affiliation.

He said the action of the minister is not healthy as far as promotion of democratic principles and ethics are concerned.
