Former Sports Minister joins PDP chairmanship race

Ibadan - A former Minister of Sports, Taoheed Adedoja, has joined the race to emerge as the next national chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP0, reports Daily Trust.

Adedoja on Thursday said he had committed himself to lead the PDP and reclaim its national glory.

Adedoja, a Professor of Education and former Provost of the College of Education (Special) Oyo, declared his intention in Ibadan, at the PDP state secretariat at Molete.

He promised to reposition the ailing party through rebranding, genuine reconciliation and reinvigoration of the entire system.

The party had on Thursday zoned to the position of the National Chairman to the South-west, reports News 24

Other contenders for the chairmanship position are a former Vice chairman of the party in the South-west, Bode George, former governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, former governorship candidate of the party in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje, former Education Minister, Professor Tunde Adeniran and Senator Bode Olajumoke
