22 July 2016, 14:22

Abuja - Senator Dino Melaye  representing Kogi West Senatorial zone may have found himself in trouble as protesters from Kogi State, under the aegis of the Kogi Youths for Good Governance are planning to recall him from the Senate, reports Daily Trust.

Melaye has been under fire for his recent spat with Senator Oluremi Tinubu

The group on Thursday stormed the Senate demanding for the immediate suspension of Melaye,.

The  move according to the group would facilitate his recall.

The leader of the group, Leke Richard, said that the processes of recalling Melaye have started in his zone for threatening the wife of the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, reports The Herald

Members of the group, who besieged the National Assembly’s gate in the early hours of  Thursday, carried placards and banners with different inscriptions, such as: ‎”Dino Melaye is a disgrace to us,” “Dino Melaye will be recalled” and “Women are our mothers, learn to respect them.”

Richard said Melaye benefited from the widespread support enjoyed by President Muhammadu Buhari to emerge as senator under the APC platform.
