Jos - Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State and Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung on Monday clashed during a cultural festival in Shendam Local Government Area of the state, reports NewsDay.
Trouble started when the minister came into the Shendam Mini Stadium when the festival was about to end, with the governor already seated.
Dalong’s arrival reportedly disrupted the event, following his long convoy.
Lalong, who was embarrassed by the protocol breach, however, remained calm.

Lalong’s supporters, however, insisted that the minister should not be given a seat, alleging that he was not invited.
The timely intervention of mobile police prevented the disagreement from degenerating into a bloody clash between supporters of the governor and the minister.

The latest clash, second in the series, has brought to the fore, the frosty relationship between both highest political office holders from Plateau State.
The relationship between the duo has been frosty since the Dalong was appointed minister.
It was alleged that the governor opposed the appointment because both hail from the same zone.
