Yenagoa - The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, has said he is prepared and sure to win the rerun election in the state fixed for January 9, 2016., reports Thisday.
Sylva, who boasted that he would emerge victorious at the end of the election, accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate and incumbent governor, Seriake Dickson, of engaging in underhand tactics to win.
Sylva through the Director, Media and Publicity, Sylva-Igiri Campaign Organisation, Nathan Egba, said that it was for this reason that the party protested the alleged illegal cancellation of the Southern Ijaw council election.

The APC candidate said he is poised to galvanise his support-base in order to repeat the feat he performed in Southern Ijaw council and some other polling units across six local government areas.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had scheduled supplementary elections in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area and some units in six other local councils to January 9, 2016.
The elections in these areas were cancelled following widespread violence and electoral malpractices .
